Sounds Like Fun!
“The students and the staff at our school were thrilled with the performance! Everyone enjoyed the education and the beautiful music that they heard. The performers were wonderful and really engaged the students. Teachers were complimenting the program even before they left the auditorium.”
The Sounds Like Fun! orchestral and ensemble concerts are filling the halls of elementary schools once again, through the New Philharmonic of New Jersey’s cooperative education program that brings classical music to New Jersey schoolchildren. Sounds Like Fun! schooltime programs focus on each of the instrumental groups, a specific composer, musicians and the conductor, and how they all interact to create the sounds of orchestral music. Young students not only hear classical music through a series of live performances and demonstrations, but they also gain in-depth information in conversations with our musicians and the conductor.
We still have several open dates for Sounds Like Fun! programs in our Spring 2011 schedule. To learn more about the programs, fees and available dates or to schedule one for your school please call Karen Pinoci, Director of Education, at (973) 267-0206 or email npnj@npnj.org.
